Badly repaired pot hole

The road has sunk in from what looks like an existing excavation, the edge has been badly repaired several times by the council the last time only recently. Its no better when driven over a its still lower than the highway due to the existing repair being lower than the highway

Thanks You for your report. This does not meet the Councils criteria for a pothole repair. Northumberland County Council will instruct repairs on hazardous defects once a depth of ≥40mm and ≥300mm wide in any direction is assessed on a road. For a footway we will instruct repairs at an intervention level of ≥ 20mm. Each report is risk assessed by our Highways Inspection team up inspection.
