Large tree to the rear of our property blocking light and potentially causing damage due to roots.

Reported via desktop in the Trees blocking TV/phone signal or light category anonymously at 11:28, Mon 16 September 2024

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6476395.

Good morning, we recently moved into our new home on Townsend Cresent and have found the tree outside the boundary of our property to be rather dominating and potentially overly tall. It blocks light from the house and garden and come autumn will inundate the garden with leaves. There are also large shrubs growing to the side of our fence that are on a public right of way and cause access issues. if someone could please visit to take a look that would be great, please keep me updated.

  • Good morning, An update to the above. The Snowberry is now growing into our garden and becoming invasive, it is lifting and distorting parts of the fence. The Ash tree is pretty much 100% dead. During the winds a couple of months ago, large branches snapped off and ended up in the garden, luckily nobody was hurt by them. The tree to the side of our property is now encroaching on the phone line so I am going to begin to cut it down. Please can you provide an update on when the Ash tree is being removed? Otherwise I will have to start to cut it down myself. Thanks
