Low branches on tree blocking pavement and part of communal driveway

Reported via mobile in the Trees affecting highways or pavements category anonymously at 13:35, Wednesday 10 July 2024

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6213557.

The Cherry Tree on the public green outside 55 Tillmouth Avenue needs a trim. The lower branches are blocking the footpath and causing people to have to duck under it in places, the ones on the communal driveway side are low enough that they scrape over the roof of higher vehicles.

  • One of the local residents has cut off some of the lowest branches themselves, but I still see some people either ducking or having to walk over the grass to go around the tree, and it's still catching the top of larger cars and small vans on the driveway.
