Drains blocked around curve down to Hartford Bridge
Reported via mobile in the Blocked - Flooding of Road/Path category by Robert Lawson at 11:59, Sun 30 June 2024
Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6172447.
At least 4 drains around the insideof the bend all full to the brim with dirt and vegetation. I failed to pull a dock plant out of one but it was too old and vigorous. There is also a lot of roadside debris further up the road and this will tend to wash down into these drains. During rain, the water floods across the road, with the potential to contribute to road accidents.

I note that 4 drains further down are now marked with white paint. The drains are still fully blocked with vegetation growing out of them. A further 5 drains further up the hill are also blocked but so far not marked, and I estimate another 4 (yes that will make about 13 in all) or more along the wall of Hartford Hall are also blocked, but I cannot see them as there is a continuous fillet of soil, vegetation and and debris along this stretch. The bridge and bus stop area beyond is strewn with rocks and debris after recent rain when the bridge was awash.
