Road surface extremely poor

Stretch of road from directly outside 63 & 64 River Bank East (whole triangular area near grass with multiple drains) to where it River Bank East joins Wansbeck Terrace. The condition of the road surface in this whole area is really very poor, especially at the triangular junction outside 63 & 64 River Bank East. If cars drive past I have been hit in the face multiple times and with loose road surface, and my neighbours have said the same has happened to them. It’s really loose. The drains also get blocked and take some time to drain away, not sure if this is due to any road surface blocking them etc. A lot of people on our street have noticed just how bad it has become over the last few years but particularly since this winter just gone. It’s been resurfaced here and there for what looks like 25-30 years or so from what neighbours say but it really is in a state now and looks like it needs redoing. The street next to ours River Bank was resurfaced recently and was far less severe than this area of River Bank East.

Thanks You for your report. This does not meet the Councils criteria for a pothole repair. Northumberland County Council will instruct repairs on hazardous defects once a depth of ≥40mm and ≥300mm wide in any direction. Each report is risk assessed by our Highways Inspection team.
