Tree causing obstruction to public path
Reported via mobile in the Bird fouling or insects category anonymously at 20:45, Monday 10 June 2024
Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6090210.
The tree is causing an obstruction on the pavement. It has already hit me in the eye when walking my dog and when pushing my granddaughter n her pram I had to walk onto the road to avoid it. The foliage is dropping all over our gardens and driveways. The sap is ruining our cars. The birds are becoming a nuisance and fouling all over our cars, windows and driveways causing it to become dangerous, slippery and trailing it in the house. It’s a hazard to health and to the general public and especially those in wheelchairs, visually impaired and pushing prams and pushchairs. The debris from the trees is often all over the road after high winds often large branches risking damage to cars passing. This tree has been reported by me twice last year as a hazard and I’ve yet to receive a response. The tree is between 254 and 256 Plessey Road. It was also reported a few years ago due to the blackness on my fence caused by Aphids

These trees on Plessey Road are causing a physical obstruction to pedestrians having to stoop to get under the branches or walk on the road to avoid them. It is a danger to those with visual impairments and an accident waiting to happen, by hitting people in the faces and eyes.
