Public footpath flooding

Reported via desktop in the Surface out of repair category anonymously at 16:01, Tuesday 27 February 2024

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5639911.

The waggonways public footpath which starts by turning right, approximately a mile down the Avenue ( a190 ) . A hundred yards or so along this path is an area of constant flooding which is unpassable on foot for walkers with no choice but to turn back or pledge through. The flooding is exacerbated after rain, obviously and it would be appreciated if it could be attended to as soon as possible. The footpath provides useful access to Holywell and Whitley Bay and it is disappointing that it is we have had to stop using it
