Dangerous parking along Park View

Reported via mobile in the Vehicle Impact category anonymously at 11:20, Wednesday 17 January 2024

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5454799.

Where Park Road East enters Park View, at St Aidans Church, the current road markings (double yellow) are now rendered unsafe and ineffective due to the amount of traffic the access road takes. Due to this, the parking of vehicles up to and at the point of St Aidans Church car park entrance causes access issues for those exiting park view onto park road and vice versa. Vehicles now, upon exiting park view, are on the wrong side of the road meaning when vehicles incoming to park view make the turn that there is a serious risk of impact.

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • Morning of 20th February a vehicle delivering slate for the church's new roof could not access the church car park due to vehicles being parked along the entrance to park view. Once again the absence of double yellow markings all the way to the entrance of the church car park means vehicles are accessing and leaving park view on the wrong side of the road.
